A big WELCOME to the members of Comfort Zone's Grief Relief Team particpating in the Monument Avenue 10K!!!!  We have already raised enough money to send 5 kids to camp and we are only just getting started!!!!!

Upcoming 2012 Races!

2012 will be a very exciting year for Comfort Zone's Grief Relief Team!!  We will be adding new races in 2012 as well as sending teams to races for a second year! All races provide Comfort Zone supporters a fantastic opportunity to dedicate in memory of a loved one or to the thousands of campers we have served, while fundraising to provide children and teens a place to grieve, heal, and grow.

• Our 2011 team was 60-supporters strong and raised over $34,000 to support Comfort Zone!

• An inaugural event for our Grief Relief Team in 2012!  The race course travels along scenic George Washington Parkway between historic Mount Vernon and charming Old Town Alexandria.

• 2012 Soldier Field Ten Mile, Hut Hut Hike and Kidz Blitz: May 26, 2012, Chicago, Illinois
• An inaugural event for our Grief Relief Team in 2012!  In the Soldier Field Ten Miler, enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to run into Soldier Field and finish on the 50 yard line! If 10 miles is not your speed, there will also be a Hut Hut Hike which is a 1-3 mile walk around Soldier Field and Chicago's beautiful museum campus, and the Kidz Blitz which will give kids a chance to run the length of Soldier Field

Team Kicks Off Weekend with a Celebration of Acomplisment & Hope

Friday night, many of this year's team gathered together to officially kick-off this weekend with a team dinner. We celebrated the hard word & dedication of each team member in their fundraising & awareness work. The 5K team, who ran this morning, were congratulated on their race. Teammates from eight states, many meeting for the first time, shared their goals for this weekend as well as their memories of Comfort Zone Camp in action. We also acknowledged all the generous donors who help the team raise pledges.

Several teammates mentioned being stopped about and ask what CZC is and then how people related and appreciate it's mission!

5K Team Members at EPCOT - First Race Completed!

The Disney Grief Relief Team had five members this morning take part of the Walt Disney World Fiesta 5K Race at EPCOT. It is the first race of marathon weekend and help set the awesome tone for our team.
